1592 kanals of State land retrieved

THAKRAKOTE, May 7: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar, Tehsildar Thakrakote, Rajesh Baru has retrieved 1592 Kanals of State land from encroachers who had illegally encroached upon it since decades.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi has categorically directed all the Revenue Officers in the district to remove all encroachments on State Kahcharai and common lands and further directed to remain vigilant against such encroachments in near future.
Taking cognizance of the directions, Tehsildar Thakrakote sought a report from Naib Tehsildar Thakrakote who after conducting proper enquiry and scrutiny of relevant revenue record submitted a detailed factual report regarding illegal encroachments and illegal entries in the revenue records.
Based on the recommendations of the field staff and after providing opportunities of being heard to all encroachers, Tehsildar Thakrakote in exercise of powers vested in him under Section 133 of Land Revenue Act, passed an order to evict all the encroachers who have illegally encroached upon the State land and further directed field staff to remove illegal entries from the revenue records as well.  The Tehsildar further instructed the field staff to remain vigilant in their respective areas and report immediately in case of encroachments found if any on State, Kahcharari or common lands.
It is pertinent to mention here that Rajesh Baru Tehsildar has recently retrieved 923 kanals of State land and 437 kanals of Kahcharai land from illegal possession of encroachers with the help of District Police Reasi wherever requirements arises.
In last 10 months, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi  Tehsildar Thakrakote and his team Naib Tehsildar Khan Mir Girdawar Munshi Ram and Patwaris Zaheer, Shabir, Ikram and CD Singh has put their hard and has removed encroachments on 6700 Kanals of State Kahcharai and common lands.
