BANIHAL May 9: District president National Conference (NC) Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen decried politics of hate and intolerance being pursued by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying it is a big danger to democratic polity of a State like Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing block functionaries of Banihal, Mr Shaheen said that the sagacious people of the State, irrespective of caste, creed and colour, have always rejected divisive politics, as their faith in democratic values has been unflinching. “National Conference has all along strived for bringing the people of different religions and regions together and therefore it will resist every attempt of trampling this glorious ethos of the State”, he added.
Mr Shaheen assailed PDP for becoming a facilitator to implement the RSS agenda through BJP. “This kind of deception is not new, as the PDP from its very inception has been functioning as Xerox copy of the BJP”, he added.
