UDHAMPUR, May 12: MLA Udhampur, Pawan Gupta, visited Garhi and the adjoining villages of the district and listened to the public grievances.
People of Garhi Ward No 4 complained the MLA that the power transformer installed in the area is not fenced properly due to which many cattle electrocuted to death. They further complained that the electric wires are hanging very down in the area, which is a grave risk to the life of people. The MLA immediately passed directions to resolve both the issues.
The residents of Ward No 4 further complained that their street is in dilapidated condition to which the MLA telephoned BDO concerned and instructed him to take up the construction work of the street on priority basis.
Pawan Gupta also visited Garhi Paltyar, where people raised the demand of blacktopping of the existing road and one foot-over bridge, besides installation of street lights. The MLA immediately instructed AEE PDD to look into the matter of blacktopping of road. On the demand of foot-over bridge, he assured to forward the matter to the concerned authorities while on the demand of street lights, he assured that the same will be installed at the earliest.
