JAMMU, May 12: The Sara, a registered Non-Profit Organization, launched ‘A to Z Scholarship’ from J&K Kusht Ashram, Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.
The initiative of The Sara is aimed at helping the students with poor financial background to meet their day to day educational expenses as also their school tuition fee.
The first two students shortlisted by The Sara for ‘A to Z Scholarship’ are Mohd Ishaq, son of Mohd Latif and Shazia Naz, daughter of Din Mohd, residents of Kusht Ashram Jammu.
The Sara prominent members present on the occasion were Gurjeet Kour, Rupinder Kour, Anisha Dhar, Manpreet Kour and Dr Raminder Jit Singh and members of Kusht Ashram Society namely Kuldeep, Wazir Mohammed and Mohd Latif.
Speaking on the occasion Gurjeet Kour said, ‘Education is an essential human virtue, a necessity of the society, basis of good life and sign of freedom. Education is important for integration of separate entities’. She said in due course of time more students would be covered under this monthly scholarship scheme.
