JAMMU, May 12: An absconder who was evading his arrest for last two years was arrested today from Maheshpura Chowk.
“One absconder namely Ajay Kumar son of Amar Nath, a resident of Amb Gharota (Jammu), who was wanted in a case FIR No 98/2009 under Sections 279/337/338 of RPC by Nagrota police and against whom a warrant of 512 CrPC was issued from Sub Judge, Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Jammu, was arrested today from Maheshpura Chowk”, said a police spokesman, adding the accused was evading his arrest for last 2 years.
He said that the arrest was made by Incharge, Police Post, GMC, Sub Inspector Deepak Katoch under the direct supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar, Ashwani Sharma, SDPO West, Sugandha Mahajan and SP City North, Vinod Kumar.
