Gur ends steady in tight movements

NEW DELHI, May 14: Steady conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices after hovering in a limited range in the absence of worthwhile buying support, settled around previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also depicted a similar trend.
Marketmen said lack of wortwhile activity from local parties and stockists against sufficient stocks kept gur prices at last levels.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,200-3,300, pedi Rs 3,400-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,550, chakku Rs 2,675-3,025, khurpa Rs 2,700-2,750 and Ladoo Rs 2,850-2,950.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,025-3,125 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175. (PTI)
