JAMMU, May 14: President, All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation, Abdul Majid Khan, has referred to an amendment made in LTC rules allowing its employees to obtain advance money four months ahead of commencing journey under Leave Travel Concession.
In a statement he said in Jammu and Kashmir the LTC facility was afforded by the employees too but subsequently it was suspended for reasons best known to authorities. Mr Khan urged the State Government to restore LTC facility so that employees are able to travel across the country to broaden their vision and improve their working.
Federation chief also made strong plea for release of 6% DA installment from January 2016, enhancement in monthly medical allowance to Rs 1000. He also sought release of adequate funds for payment of salary/ wages to ReT teachers, daily wage/ need based and CP workers of PHE, PDD and other department every month in time as at present they do not get the same for months rather years together due to non-availability of funds and unduly suffer starving conditions as such they are reluctantly forced to resort to path of agitation which cause unhealthy strains in cordial of relations between the employer and the employed.
