MENDHAR, Sept 18: Two schools were found locked during duty hours in Mendhar area while the School Education authorities placed six teachers under suspension today.
Reports said ZEO Balakote Harcharan Singh paid surprise visit to Govt Primary School Tasha Deri and Govt Pry School Ther Balakote at around 11.15 am today and found both the schools closed and some goats and sheep sitting in ‘veranda’ there. No student was found there in these schools. He also talked to the village Panchayat members and sought feedback about the teachers. It is pertinent to mention here that the Govt School timings are from 8 am to 2 pm in this area.
The Education Officer placed teachers of both the schools under suspension and also recommended termination of the services of one ReT teacher to CEO Poonch. He also visited Govt Pry School Kala Tosha in the zone and found two more teachers absent.
The teachers against whom action has been taken are- Mohd Yasin, Naseem Ahmed, Mohd Mushtaq, Mohd Raqib, Naseem Akhtar and Sazia Kouser.
