127 bovines rescued, smuggler arrested

KATHUA, May 15: Hiranagar Police has rescued 127 bovine animals and arrested the bovine smuggler at a naka at Ding Amb today.
According to police one Abdul Gani, son of Taj Mohammed of Dolliyan Jatian near Pahadpur in Rajbagh area of Kathua district was taking 127 bovine animals to Kashmir by foot.
On reaching Ding Amb police Naka he was stopped by the police party and on questioning he disclosed that animals were being carried by him to Valley. He also failed to produce any permission or official document permitting him to take the animals to Valley. The police arrested him and a case under Section RPC 188 was registered against him at Police Post Ding Amb.
