MAHORE, May 16: In an incident of drowning, a class 12th student died while a girl student of class 9th was timely rescued.
The incident took place this morning when the duo was crossing Budnar nallah in Mahore.
The deceased was identified as Naseer Ahmed (17), son of Abdul Rashid of Bela Sarh. He was a student of Class 12th in Government Higher Sec School Mahore.
The girl, identified as Ruksana Kousar (14), daughter of Mushtaq Ahmed of Musra Sarh, and a student of 9th class in Government High School Bagga, has been admitted in Sub-District Hospital Mahore and her condition was stated to be stable.
According to the Police, the duo was crossing Budnar nallah when flow of water washed them away. The girl was rescued by the locals while dead body of the boy was fished out after hours long operation.
