JAMMU, May 16: A review meeting of All Jandial Sabha was held today under the patronage of Justice (Retd) KK Gupta to review the progress of election process and the arrangements made by Sabha for bi-annual mail of Jandial Biradari being held on May 21 at the Devsthan of Baba Sahej Nath Ji at Gole Pully near Agriculture office, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
Prominent among those presents were chairman, KB Jandial, Advocate Ratan Lal Gupta, Chief Election Commissioner, Ravi Mahajan and Satish Jandial, Election Commissioners, Ramesh Jandial, senior vice president and Rakesh Jandial, general secretary.
Regarding arrangements for the mail, the senior vice president and general secretary explained that all arrangements are in place; the ration and allied food material has been donated by Bhakts of Baba and arrangement for shamiana, halwais and flower decoration of sanctum has been fixed.
They informed that the mail on May 21 will start with havan followed by flag hoisting by KK Gupta chief patron, pattal puja, jods and distribution of langar parsad.
Later, Ratan Lal Gupta briefed the executive members about the steps he has taken on the election process for the election of president and general secretary of the Sabha. He explained that the election body has devised a Performa which will form the basis of a Jandial member to cast his/her vote in the coming election on June 19 which stands already announced by the committee.
“The Performa has to be filled by one family starting with name of the head of family and followed by other family members (adult male/females). This will facilitate smooth conduct of election and avoidance of any bogus voting. The Performa is available at Dev Sthan and with the election commissioners”, he said and asked the biradari members to fill the Performa and hand over the same on May 19, the day of bi-annual mail or till May 29.
