UDHAMPUR, May 16: The three days historic Moungri Mela which commenced from May 14 concluded at Sardabbar, Moungri today.
People from different regions visited the Mela and paid obeisance to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and sought their blessings.
To generate mass awareness about the schemes of the Government various stalls were installed by different departments at the venue and elaborate arrangements were put in place by the district administration for the convenience of the public during the Mela.
On the concluding day, a colourful cultural programme depicting rich culture and heritage of Dogras was organized by the District Information Centre, which received an enthusiastic response from the spectators. An awareness programme on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was also presented on the occasion to generate awareness about saving and educating girl child.
MLC Jugal Kishore, Mela Officer Amit Verma and officers of various departments were also present on the occasion..
