VHP demands immediate recovery of kidnapped girl

JAMMU, May 16: State VHP president, advocate Leela Karan Sharma has expressed his anguish over the slackness of the Police Station Kanachak for not tracing the Hindu girl (Preeti Sharma D/o Purshotam Lal R/o Gari, Purkhoo, who has been kidnapped over a fortnight back.
Talking to reporters here, today, Mr Sharma said that as per reports the Hindu girl was abducted by a Muslim chap (Muhammad Arif S/o Gafoor Ahmed) who was studying in Engineering College & residing at Gari, Purkhoo on rent. The Muslim chap belongs to Ram Nagar Tehsil district Udhampur and his family is residing at Ram Nagar, he added. Sharma said that it was also reported that the Hindu girl had gone to market from where she was abducted and taken to Valley which is considered to be the heaven of love jihadis where they used to convert the Hindu girls in conveyance of the local Moulvies and the girls have no option but to obey the dictates in these Love Jihadies who facilitate defence by preparing fake documents of marriage.
He said that the independent consent of the girl can’t be inferred because of the atmosphere created & prevailing in Kashmir Valley. The brother of that Muslim chap is a Circle inspector working in Udhampur and it looks that police is not taking action under the influence of his brother.
He said that VHP has taken a strong note that for more than last 15 days, police has not moved an inch to recover the girl and if within one week, the girl is not recovered & allowed to meet her parents to tell the truth, VHP will start the movement in all districts & the responsibility will be on the Government.
Suresh Chander Gupta working president VHP, Ashok Gupta Gou Raksha Pramukh, Vimla Gupta, Matrishakti Vibhagh Sanyojika, parents of the abducted girl, etc. were present in the press conference.
Meanwhile, a police spokesman said that they have registered a case of kidnapping against the boy and police teams have been dispatched in different areas to locate the girl.
The spokesman said that earlier a missing report was lodged in Kanachak Police Station but after the investigation when it was known that the girl has been kidnapped the police registered a case against the youth under relevant sections of the law and it is for look out to trace the girl and arrest her kidnapper.
