JAMMU, May 16: Traffic Police today recovered 106 tape recorders from the matadors on Talab Tillo Road, Bikram Chowk and Dogra Chowk during a special drive launched against the tape recorders being played by the matador operators in their vehicles in violation of Traffic rules and regulations.
A drive was launched by Traffic Police personnel headed by DySP City (Traffic), Tejinder Singh under the supervision of SSP Traffic, Jammu Uday Bhaskar Billa to check the menace of playing of tape recorders by the matador operators.
During the drive, the Traffic Police personnel seized 106 tape recorders and imposed heavy fine on the defaulters.
They cautioned the drivers to stop using tape recorders in the vehicles otherwise, they would be penalized further.
