JAMMU, May 16: A motorcyclist was killed after an unknown vehicle hit his bike at Satwari area of city outskirts during the intervening night of May 15 and 16.
“Ajay Kumar (30) son of Raj Kumar resident of Satwari was going on his bike bearing registration number JK02AH-2108 when an unknown vehicle hit his two-wheeler and left him seriously injured”, a police spokesman said.
He said that in serious condition, the injured youth was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
“After completing all medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, the spokesman said, adding a case in this connection was registered at police station Satwari and further investigations were underway.
