Additional hospital for Mandal demanded

KISHTWAR, May 18: Sarpanch Association of the district today urged Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, to sanction additional 100 bedded hospital for Mandal.
Addressing a press conference, vice president of the association, Satish Kumar, along with Surjeet Badyal, block president, Sewa Dal, said that people of Mandal are facing hardships due to unavailability of health care facilities in the area despite the fact that the area has maximum population.
They said that existing district hospital is sufficient for the people of Kishtwar city but there is dire need of hospital in mandal in order to ease the pressure on district hospital Kishtwar.
They also demanded mini bus stand for Mandal and urged the Transport Minister, Sunil Sharma for sanctioning the same. They alleged that the people living in Mandal have to travel huge distance to reach Bus Stand Kishtwar.
The association also demanded upgradation of General Bus Stand Kishtwar and equipping District Hospital Kishtwar with modern facilities.
