Save fish in holy spring of Mattan: Yogi

JAMMU, May 18: National Conference (NC) Minority Cell president and former president of Tirath Raj Mattan Charitable Trust, M K Yogi has expressed concern that the fish in holy spring of Mattan suffer from serious water borne infection which resulted into many deaths since last month.
He said that Fisheries Department should pay immediate attention to protect the fish and the infection should not turn fatal for them as the religious sentiments of large number of people all over the globe are attached to the holy shrine of Mattan.
He also demanded that Martand be made transit camp for Shri Amarnath yatra  and appealed the Governor N N Vohra who is also the chairman of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) to concede this demand.
Mr Yogi, while highlighting the other burning problems of the displaced people criticized the Government in general and Relief and CAPD departments in particular for denying ration to migrants for last three months.
