JAMMU, May 22: Elections of J&K Excise and Commercial Tax Welfare Society, Jammu, were held here today, wherein Vijay Sharma ( Retd DC Excise), was elected as president.
S Manmohan Singh (Retd Addl DC Kathua) was elected as senior vice-president while S K Sharma (Retd DC Tax), Mohan Lal Sharma (Retd DC Excise) and Mohd Naseem Manhas (Retd ETO) were elected as vice-presidents.
K S Arora was elected as secretary general, S P Khajuria as press publicity and organizing secretary, Hakam Singh as secretary, Keemti Lal as office secretary, Avinash Sadotra (Retd ETO) as treasurer and R K Khajuria and Illas Khan as joint secretaries
Aslam Qureshi (Retd IAS) accorded his consent to be the chief patron while S T P Singh (Retd special secretary) and Naseem Malik consented to be the patrons.
Sardar B S Mastana (Retd DC Excise) accorded his consent to be the chief advisor of Welfare Programmes (Excise) and Riaz Ahmed (Retd DC Kargil) will be chief advisor Welfare Programme (Tax)
After his elections as the new president, Vijay Sharma assured the members that he along with his team would do their best to fulfill the aims and objectives of the organization.
Aslam Qureshi and Naseem Malik also addressed the members.
K L Abrol was the Presiding Officer for conducting the election proceedings. He declared the election results in the presence of all members, including Durga Singh, G D Gupta and Kuldeep Mangotra and others.
