JAMMU, May 22: A protest demonstration was held by workers of Jammu Welfare Organisation, (JWO) under the chairmanship of its president, Kasturi Lal Gupta, here today.
The protesters carrying empty buckets and other pots were protesting against Public Health Engineering Mechanical Department for its callous and casual approach towards supply of water to stage-2, situated at Roop Nagar, from the Muthi base point.
The demonstrators raised slogans in support of their demands and against the working of PHE Mechanical and Power Development Department.
Protesters said that Gladni station, Narwal and IRCON Corporation are taking unscheduled shut down from time to time.
They have requested Xen, PHE Mechanical Wing Department to personally look into the grievances and make sure to supply full pumping from Muthi to stage 2 situated at Roop Nagar.
