JAMMU, May 25: A delegation of NC Minority Cell led by its president, M K Yogi and accompanied by T N Koul president Muthi Camp, Bihari Lal president Nagrota camp, Roshan Lal Bhat from Jagti Camp, Daya Krishan from Purkhoo Camp and Roshan Lal Bhat from Butta Nagar camp called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner in his office chambers today and discussed various problems of migrants with him.
As per release, the delegation discussed the arrangements for coming Mata Kheer Bhawani yatra and demanded that sufficient buses be made available for pilgrims to various shrines of Mata Kheer Bhwani including Tulmulla in Kashmir Valley from Jammu.
The issue of non availability of ration at non camps also figured in the meeting. The delegation informed RC that depot holders are denying ration to migrants in non camp areas on the plea that they have not received any supply from the Government. They also informed the RC that sub standard ration is also being supplied in some depots. The delegation besides discussing the issue of ration coupons demanded that the ration coupons be given at an earliest.
The delegation demanded that staff be posted in zones and offices as there is shortage of the same and also stressed on renovation of quarters.
Meanwhile, Relief holders representative , Sunil Pandita and Jagti Welfare Committee president, Vijay Kaul have also demanded immediate release of ration to non camp migrants who are facing many hardships.
