JAMMU, May 27: Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur, Rakesh Sagar Jain today framed charges in the much publicized Udhampur petrol bomb attack case.
The charges have been framed against Balbhadur Singh, Danish, Varinder Singh, Harish Katoch, Sunit Singh, Rahul Sharma, Sandoor Singh, Amit Singh, Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Balram Singh alias Pankaj Singh and Raju Rameshwar Singh and Jasbir Singh and Vikas Sharma .
After hearing both the sides in length, the court observed, “on the basis of the material on record prima facie in shape of the facts of the case as emerging in the statements of the witnesses recorded by the investigating agency, there is sufficient material on record for framing charge against all the accused persons for the offences under Sections 307/ 332/ 336/ 337/ 427/ 147/ 148/ 149/ 120-B/ 212 RPC/3 (5) Explosive substance Act”, adding “accused Vikas has been charge sheeted for offence under Section 212 RPC”.
