Modi Govt lifted atmosphere of gloom: Sunil

KISHTWAR, May 28: Minister for Transport, Sunil Sharma today said that Narendra Modi Government at Centre has lifted atmosphere of gloom, which was prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir during the last two decades.
Speaking during party’s ‘Vikas Parv’ (development festival) on the completion of 2 years of Modi Govt at District BJP office in Kishtwar, Sunil Sharma highlighted various works undertaken by the State and Union Government.
While elaborating the developmental plans of Kishtwar constituency, he said, ‘recently, we got authorization of airstrip and Rs 95 crore project for upgradation of Batote-Kishtwar National Highway”.
Accusing the Congress of trying to malign the image of NDA Government on baseless allegations, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, the Union Government has launched various schemes and programmes for the benefit of the citizens. He spoke about Atal Pension Yojana, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, HRIDAY (Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) etc, which he said will immensely benefit the people.
He apprised the gathering about the objectives of Make in India, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Beti Bachao, Beti Padao,  Soil Health Card Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Rs 80,000 crore worth package for Jammu and Kashmir covering all three regions of the State. This package includes amount towards job for Kashmiri migrants, rehabilitation of families from Chhamb and PoK, construction of houses and setting up of five Indian Reserve Police (IRP) battalions.
