BANIHAL, May 29: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers’ Forum, District Ramban, was held here today under the chairmanship of district president, Farooq Ahmed Runyal.
During the meeting, various issues of the Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers’ fraternity were discussed. The main agenda of the meeting, included release of long pending salary of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers, screening test of Study Centre Degree holders, regularization of KGBV Teachers etc.
All the members criticized the recent order, issued by the Government regarding the screening test of teachers who have acquired their degrees through study centres without any clear definition of the term “Study Centre”.
Members lamented that the salary of ReT teachers of the district Ramban was released only for one month whereas in other districts, the salary was released for two and more than three months.
The meet warned that if all the burning issues of the ReT fraternity are not resolved within a week, they will go on state wide massively protest.
