POONCH, Sept 19: SP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain has asked people to remain vigilant against the rumours being aired by some mischief mongers for terrorizing public in Mendhar and Surankot area.
Talking to media-persons here today, the SP said that till now no FIR regarding abduction of any child has been received by police at any police station in district Poonch. He said some incidents of stone pelting or beating up villagers have been reported. Some mischief mongers have been indulging in such tactics and creating terror in the area.
The SP said that people should remain vigilant against the activities of such people and they should keep watch on such people. He asked the people to display maturity and not target innocents. The SP said that additional policemen have been deployed at various places and Army assistance has also sought to capture such people creating terror in the area.
