REASI, May 31: A rape accused, who was on bail, died after falling from a hillock near Chassana while six youth got injured when a car, they were traveling-in, skidded-off the road at Baradari Bridge, near Zero Morh, Reasi, here today.
According to Police, one Abdul Qyum 26 son of Abdul Rashid of village Mohra Khachi Chassote, tehsil Mahore, slipped from the hillock and died on the spot. The deceased was accompanied by his brother Nazir Ahmed and they were going to Mahore from a hilly foot path. They were moving fast when the deceased suddenly slipped and fell from a height of around 100 meters, towards river Badora.
Later, the dead body was recovered from the bank of river with the help of locals.
As per Police, the deceased had been booked in a rape case and was on bail.
Meanwhile, six persons of a family were injured when an Alto car, bearing registration number JK02BP- 5903 skidded-off the road near Baradari Bridge, Zero Morh Reasi.
The injured were identified as Kuldeep Kumar 26 son of Dev Raj, Kamaljeet 20 son of Sukh Ram, Ganesh Kumar 29 son of Dev Raj, Vishal Kumar 21 son of Satpaul, Rahul 17 son of Sukh Ram and Sunil Kumar 19 son of Chanu Kumar while Sunil Kumar is resident of Ramnagar, all others are from Nadore Nagrota.
They were shifted to DH Reasi for treatment and their condition was stated to be normal.
