2 killed, 3 injured in road mishaps

KATHUA, May 31: One girl died and another boy was injured in a road mishap, near Sadya Chack, falling under the Jurisdiction of Kathua Police Station.
According to police, two medical students of Batra Medical College, one male namely Gurshish Singh, son of Kuljeet Singh of Ward Number 14, Kathua and other female namely Sadya daughter of late Sanjeev Thika of Trikuta Nagar were on way from Jammu to Kathua in a car number PB06K-1660. As they reached Sadya Chack, the door of the car opened suddenly and the girl fell down from the car and got seriously injured. She was shifted to District Hospital, Kathua where the doctors declared her dead.
Gurshish also received injuries but was discharged from the hospital later. He was arrested and Kathua police has registered a case against him under Section 304 A.
Meanwhile in other accident at Basoli, two bikes collided and one Ravi Kumar, son of Ram Lal resident of Basoli died on spot. Another two were injured namely Mohan Lal (SPO) son of Mangal Singh and Neeraj. They were admitted in the District Hospital when the last report came in.
Concerned Police has registered the case and started investigation.
