JAMMU, May 31: A 24-year old woman was today found hanging in forest area of Nagrota in city outskirts.
According to police spokesman, the woman identified as Seema Devi, wife of Raj Kumar, a resident of village Fadyei, tehsil and district Reasi, was found hanging this afternoon with a tree near Chu Nallha (100 feet inside the jurisdiction of police station Nagrota from border line of PS Nagrota and PS Reasi) in Baymal area of Nagrota.
“On getting information from the locals, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for postmortem”, he said, adding no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
“A case in this connection was registered at police station Nagrota and inquest proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC”, the spokesman further added.
