JAMMU, June 1:  The Bari  Brahmana Industries Associ-ation (BBIA) has  expressed strong resentment over the non- commissioning of new BB-III, 33 KV line from 50X2 MW Grid Station, Bari Brahmana.
An emergency meeting of Bari Brahmana Industries Association was held today under the  presidentship of  Lalit Mahajan, to discuss the issue regarding the non- commissioning of new BB-III, 33KV line from Grid Station, Bari Brahmana.
The members present in the meeting raised serious concern in respect of non- release of pending power connections of the Industrial units of Bari Brahmana which are pending since long due to non- availability of the additional line. The matter was brought into the knowledge of Chief Engineer, M&RE, for the early release of power connections as the BB-III line is ready for commissioning.
The M&RE wing has shown its inability to release the power connections as the Chief Engineer, System & Operation is not in a position to charge the line due to non availability of requisite infrastructure at the Grid Station. The BBIA  also took up the  matter with the Chief Engineer System & Operation in this regard but he has shown his inability  to charge the line due to non- availability of spare parts for the bay and paucity of funds.
It is matter of great concern that due to mis-management at Grid Station and shifting of the infrastructure to some other places, for which the replacement has not yet received by the department, due to which the unit holders are suffering badly. Department is also losing revenue due to non supply of the power to the prospective unit holders.
It is pertinent to mention here that with the Interventions of Dy Chief Minister, who is also  Power Minister Rs 70 lakh were provided for a new 33 KV line but the department failed to commission the line.
BBIA appealed to the Dy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh and  Industries Minister  Chander Prakash  to intervene into the matter  and issue necessary orders to resolve the issue on war footing.
The meeting was also attended by Rahul Bansal, Varun Singla, Ajay Langer,  Viraaj Malhotra and other members.
