JAMMU, June 1: Government today announced 42 day-long summer vacations starting from June 6.
According to the order issued by Commissioner/Secretary, School Education Department, Shaleen Kabra, all Government Educational Institutions and recognised private schools upto Higher Secondary level will observe vacations from June 6 to July 17.
Any default on the part of private schools in observance of the calendar of the summer vacations will attract action under rules, the order said.
