Alleged manhandling of PDD officials: Unions threaten to snap power supply

JAMMU, June 3: Strongly condemning the alleged manhandling of AEE Neeraj Sharma, AE (IT) Rohita Salathia and other staff members by a consumer, the J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association along with other unions of the PDD employees have threatened to snap power supply in entire State if the accused is not arrested within 24 hours.
The ultimatum was issued during an emergency and joint meeting of the J&K Electrical Engineering Graduate Association, All J&K Diploma Engineers Association, Provincial Power Employees Union and PDD Employees Union, here today.
The agitated unions expressed serious concern over alleged manhandling of the PDD officers and staff by one Lalit Kumar, a consumer, and stressed that immediate action should be taken in this regard by the law enforcing agencies.
The meeting was attended by JKEEGA general secretary Neeraj Sharma, Jai Pal Sharma (president of All Diploma Engineers Association-PDD), Shakti Gupta (president of Provincial Power employees Union), Manjeet Singh, Tarun Gupta, and others.
