Abhinav Sandesh Yatra reaches Kashmir

JAMMU, June 6: Despite so much opposition and protest, Abhinav Sandesh Yatra reached at Vitasta Verinag, Lokbhawan in Anantnag on June 3 and headed towards Vessu, Anantnag.
Till today the Yatra was received at various temples, shrines and places including Nagbal (Anantnag), Nagdandi Ashram, Kakran, Manzgam, Kapalmochan Temple and Zeyshta Temple.
The ‘Kalash Yatra’ was received by the masses at different places with great enthusiasm by chanting dharmic mantras.
In every temple where the Yatra was received, several ceremonies like Kalash poojan, Bhajan –Kirtan and lecture on the philosophy of Abhinavgupt and also on Kashmir Shaivism took place.
From very beginning Kashmir region has remained the land of great sages, scholars and philosphers. Acharaya Abhinavgupt was one among such enlighten philosophers. Acharya Abhinavgupt is the author of more than 70 books. Kashmiri Pandits believe that he took Samadhi in the Beerwah cave some 1000 years ago.
