CS reviews follow up action on CM’s commitments

SRINAGAR, June 8: Chief Secretary, B R Sharma today chaired a meeting with Administrative Secretaries to review the follow up action on the commitments made by the Chief Minister.
The implementation status is being monitored online through the J&K- eSamikhSha portal wherein all the concerned departments have to update the implementation status of the works.
Financial Commissioner, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, B B Vyas, Principal Secretary, Agricultural Production, Sundeep K Nayak, Principal Secretary, Home, R K Goyal, Commissioner Secretaries, Secretaries and concerned nodal officers were present in the meeting.
During over 51 tours of the Chief Minister to various districts of the State, as many as 716 directions were issued to the concerned departments for taking up various projects in hand for the benefit of the people. Out of these, over 200 commitments of varied nature have already been implemented on ground and remaining are under implementation by the departments.
In order to fast track the implementation of Chief Minister’s directions issued from time to time, Chief Secretary asked Administrative Secretaries to regularly monitor and review with the concerned nodal officers, the implementation status of the works to be implemented through their respective departments and ensure that the latest implementation status of the work is updated on the J&K- eSamikhSha portal.
“Works of longer gestation period should be broken into achievable milestones based on clear timelines and their implementation status updated on the eSamikhSha portal”, Chief Secretary said, adding that works should also be categorized on the basis of timelines required and whether any financial implication is involved or not in implementing the decision.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary also reviewed the status of Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS) in all Government offices including the Civil Secretariat.
