SRINAGAR, June 9: Speaker of Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today asked the Government to inquire into the whereabouts of five youth from Surankote, who went missing in Srinagar three years ago.
The direction by the Speaker came after Congress MLA from Surankote Choudhary Mohammad Akram raised this issue before Question Hour started in the Legislative Assembly.
“Five youth, Mohammad Rafique, Abdul Majid, Mushtaq Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad and Zavid Ahmad, residents of Surankote, came to Srinagar in 2013. They went missing in the same year and since then their family members are running from pillar to post to trace them,” Mr Akram said.
