Srinagar, June 9: State Government today said a total of 41 posts are lying vacant in Archives, Archaeology and Museums Department.
In a written reply to a question of MLC Ashok Khajuria in Upper House, the Minister Incharge Culture, said out of 41 posts, eight are gazette and 33 non-gazetted.
The Minister said that 25 posts of non-gazetted cadre falling under direct quota have been referred to Services Selection Board. “Out of 25 posts, 22 are in Kashmir, 2 in Jammu and one in Leh,” said the Minister. However, the Minister said, no post of Gazetted cadre in the Department is lying vacant under quota.
