Four-day First Aid Training program concludes

JAMMU, June 9: A four-day First Aid Training programme for the employees of Dabur India Ltd, Bari Brahmana, Bharat Petroleum, IFCA Bottling Company, ERA Jammu, Commercial Vehicle Drivers and volunteers concluded today at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni, Jammu.
The course was organized by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region under the umbrella of St John Ambulance Association, Regional Centre, Jammu.
The training was imparted by a team of senior Consultants viz. Dr Munish (Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon, Max Hospital, Amritsar), Dr Satish Sharma (Ex-Medical Superintendent and Dr Rajinder Thappa (CMO, Government SMGS Hospital, Jammu) and Dr Kavita Nijhon as well as Dr Rohini Bhan (both Medical Officers of Red Cross Dispensary).
Soujanya Sharma, Director, Local Bodies, Jammu was the chief guest on the valedictory function. He interacted with the First Aid Trainers. While speaking on the occasion, he impressed upon the trainers to provide every possible First Aid to the injured when it required in order to save precious lives.
Earlier, RC Puri, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region and Sita Ram Sharma, Member, Executive Committee welcomed the chief guest.
