BJP surrendered completely to PDP for power: Ex-MoS

JAMMU, June 9: Senior Congress leader and former Minister of State (MoS) for Forest and Cooperatives, Dr Manohar Lal has alleged that BJP leadership totally surrendered to the PDP for the lust of power.
While speaking during public meeting at Bhaiya village in Hiranagar today, the native place of Late Girdhari Lal Dogra, Dr Lal said that it will be better to merge the BJP with PDP as the BJP is promoting the Agenda of PDP in all respects. He criticized the style of functioning of present dispensation in the State which is, he alleged totally anti- people. “There seems to be no Government on ground, because all the developmental schemes are hampered and nobody seems concerned about the miseries of general public. The corruption is all time high and the public is crying for justice”, he stated.
The former Minister further said the agriculture sector is badly affected due to the unprecedented rains and hail-storm, now with the draught like conditions. “The Government is least concerned with the miseries of the farmers, the crop insurance and all other schemes announced are seems to be in papers only. The farmers due to the rise in prices of fertilizers and seeds are unable to recover the money invested in crops. The farmers are committing suicides due to the rise in debts and all the schemes announced by the BJP Central as well as State Government exist only in papers”, he added.
DCC Kathua president Subash Gupta (Ex-MLC) castigated BJP -PDP Government over its failure. He said the failure of power in this scorching heat in Jammu province has made of life of general public miserable. “All the Ministers and MLAs are enjoying with their families at Srinagar and no body is present at Jammu to listen to grievances of the people” he added. Ex-MLA Hiranagar, GL Chalotra and Sarpanch Surinder Singh also spoke on the occasion.
