UDHAMPUR, June 9: Demanding construction of bridge on Diggi Nallah in Pancheri, locals and students of Government Higher Secondary School Lander today held a strong protest.
A number of villagers and students assembled and raised slogans in support of their demand. The students lamented that they were regularly risking their lives to cross the Nallah for reaching the school.
“We have to use un-safe wooden blocks, put across the nallah which divide Majra Rasyala, Diggi and Lander,” they said and lamented that despite repeated appeals to the administration for construction of the bridge, no action has been taken in this regard.
The protesting parents said that they were subjecting the lives of their wards to risk for their education.
