No intention to probe appointments in JU: Govt

Srinagar, June 10: Government today said University of Jammu has made 111 appointments during last six years.
The information was given by Minister Incharge Higher Education in a written reply to MLC Surinder Kumar Chowdhary in Upper House.
The Minister said the University of Jammu made three appointments in the month of September 2014 when devastating floods hit the State. To a query, the Minister said that the varsity remained open during the period (September 2014) as there was no declared holiday due to floods.
“However, the University has informed all the candidates about the interviews telephonically,” the Minister said in the reply and added that there is no intention of holding probe into these appointments.
