Shastri demands special funds for Pay Commission implications

JAMMU, June 11: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, Arvind Panigraian to earmark Rs 9000 crores as special fund at State Government disposal to ward off likely effect implementation of recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission along with incorporating of financial implications of regularization of sixty one thousand daily rated workers in various departments of the State Government.
Addressing NMC workers, here today, the Shastri also enjoined upon the State Government to reflect the same suitably in its annual plan 2016-17, while formulating and discussing the State financial position with NITI Aayog. Shastri further stressed upon the State Chief Minister to take up the issue of grant of special package with the Prime Minister and Union Finance Minister to ameliorate the condition, the salaried class find themselves in.
On the occasion, Shastri also highlighted several other demands and issues of the working class and urged the Government to consider the same.
Among others, who were present in the meeting, included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Jai Pal Sharma, Tarsem Sharma, Subash Sharma, Madan Lal and Isher Dass.
