JAMMU, June 11: In a petition filed by Aneesh Bhagat and others seeking direction to respondents not to divert four posts of SC category to ST category by illegally applying of the 100 point roster, High Court today issued notices to Services Selection Recruitment Board and Public Works Department.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioners, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal issued notices to SSRB and PWD and ordered status-quo with regard to four posts of Junior Engineers.
According to the petitioners, pursuant to Advertisement Notice No. 02 of 2014 published on 12.05.2016, they were placed in the waiting list under SC category after keeping unfilled four posts of SC category of JE (Civil) R&B Department.
Advocate Abhinav Sharma apprised the court that point substantially arising in this writ petition has already been raised before this court in which some interim direction has been issued.
“In order to avoid conflicting directions, let both the cases be listed together in the week commencing 27.06.2016. In the meantime, till next date, status quo as on today in regard to the four posts, which were earlier assigned to SC category, shall be maintained”, the court directed.
