SRINAGAR: Several personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police were injured, when militants attacked their vehicle in south Kashmir district of Anantnag this evening, official sources said.
They said militants fired upon a police vehicle at Bonagam Qazigund in Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to some personnel. The condition of two of the injured is stated to be critical.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a massive hunt to nab the militants, who fled after the attack. Further details are awaited.
Senior security force and police officials have rushed to the spot. Two police personnel, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector, were killed in a similar militant attack in Anantnag, early this month. (AGENCIES)
