The budget presented by the Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu does not contain anything for student community or for improving the quality of education in the State.
At present, the schools, colleges and universities lack infrastructural facilities, and shortage of staff is another concern.
Some schools are seen running in dilapidated buildings or rented accommodation while some schools do not have provision for drinking water. The students belonging to various categories do not get scholarships well on time. The over all scenario in these institutions is quite disgusting and disappointing. The Finance Minister should have taken these aspects into consideration, and made some allocations in the budget for educational institutions of the State.
