KPC rejects talks with separatists

JAMMU, June 18: While sharply reacting to the proposal of separatist leaders of Kashmir Valley who have announced to initiate talks with internally displaced Kashmiri Pandits (IDPs) over their re-settlement issue in Kashmir, Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) chief, Kundan Kashmiri totally rejected any dialogue with separatists on their dictates, wishes and whims and said it is their separatist and anti-India agenda is biggest hurdle to the return of Pandits to Valley.
In a statement issued here today he said it is only Kashmiri Pandit displaced community to decide when and where to return in their” land of Kashyap”. This proposal of separatists is totally a bogus and futile exercise as well as a big conspiracy and strategy to defeat the cause and 27 years long struggle of KPs for “one place settlement within the ambit of Indian Constitution” ( Separate Kashyap Bhoomi ) in the Valley.
While lambasting over the Hippocratic behavior of the separatist leaders Kundan Kashmiri stated that when these separatists and their so–called followers are not ready and like to live with India and its nationalist people and aspire for Azadi or merger with Pakistan, then how they expect this nationalist Kashmiri Pandit community would like to live with them, who rejected co–existence from time to time in particular in 1989-90 by looting, burning and ransacking the property of Pandits and killing a thousand of members of the community.
KPC chief appealed all other KP organisations, to be united to continue their struggle for consolidated rehabilitation within the ambit of Indian constitution.
Similar views were expressed by other KPC leaders like Tej Pandita, P.N.Mattoo,Susheel Bhat, Rinku Razdan, S.K.Bhat , S.L.Zutshi, M.N. Raina and others.
