Bukhari reviews process of e-transfer of Interest Subvention Assistance for flood hit traders

SRINAGAR, June 18: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Ahmad Bukhari today chaired a high level meeting to review the process of e-transfer of Interest Subvention Assistance for the restoration of livelihood of traders/business establishments affected during September-2014 floods.
Chief Secretary, B.R Sharma, Financial Commissioner Planning and Development, B.B Vyas, Commissioner Secretary Finance, Naveen Kumar Choudhary, Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Mohammad Afzal, Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce, Shailendra Kumar, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Mushtaq Ahmad and other senior officers of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Departments were present in the meeting.
The Minister received first hand appraisal about the implementation of the process for transferring interest subvention in favour of flood hit business community. He asked all the concerned to speed up the process to ensure time bound disbursement of the assistance to the beneficiaries.
The Minister asked the concerned to finalizes the modalities in this regard and submit the report within one week besides update all the data of traders falling within the programme so that amount of Interest Subvention is directly transferred into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries who have been linked with the banks and approached for restructuring of the credit accounts.
The Minister said that restoration/revival process of September-2014 flood damaged infrastructure besides rehabilitation of business community is priority of Government and all possible measures are being taken in this regard.
Meanwhile, Mr Bukhari reviewed process of digitization of revenue records here today.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary, B.R Sharma, Financial Commissioner Planning and Development, B B Vyas, Director Information Technology Department, Hilal Ahmad Parray and other senior officers.
The Minister emphasized on making better use of modern technology and urged the officers to explore all modalities for uploading the voluminous revenue data online. He said that the aim of the exercise is to empower the people to track status of their applications seeking various services of Revenue Department at the click of a button without the necessity of visiting revenue offices.
The Minister directed the officers to ensure that the website is user friendly so that people can use it with ease besides providing timely updates of the status of applications to the concerned.
The Minister was informed that all the districts of the State have been equipped with District e-Governance Societies (DeGS) for coordinating the implementation of the project at district levels.
