BJP Working Committee meeting today

JAMMU, June 18: BJP in its State Executive meeting here tomorrow will exert pressure on State Government to take stern action and book both the culprits involved in sacrilegious acts in Aap Shambhu temple at Roop Nagar and Shiv Mandir at Nanak Nagar under Public Safety Act (PSA).
“We will definitely demand that both the culprits responsible for sacrilegious acts be booked under PSA so that a strong message goes all around that present Government will not allow any body to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the State” said Party general secretary Dr Narinder Singh while briefing about the agenda before tomorrow’s Working Committee meeting.
Dr Singh said that the Working Committee meeting which will be graced by national general secretary (org) and senior Party leader Ram Lal and senior national vice president of the Party Avinash Rai Khanna will take the stock of the prevailing political situation in the State.
He said party will also give a strong message that no one will be allowed to breach the social and communal harmony in the State and Government in strongest terms will be asked to take stern action against the accused persons and also have a thorough probe to unmask the forces behind fomenting communal trouble in the State.
Dr Singh said there can be involvement of some outside agencies behind these acts and BJP will not allow this to happen. “The Party will also strongly demand that PSA be slapped on the person involved in sacrilegious act at Roop Nagar temple”, he added.
He said besides the resolution will be adopted on the two years achievements of Modi Government at Centre and feed back will also be received from the Party representatives from districts on the functioning of the coalition Government in the State.
