KATHUA, June 22: Basohli police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused from Gangyal area.
As per police sources, on March 3, a family hailing from Mandla Basohli lodged a complaint with police station Basohli stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by Mohan Lal alias Mohanu, son of Bachan Lal of Bishnah.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 24/16 under Section 363 RPC was registered and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police conducted raids in different areas and finally rescued the girl from Gangyal area. The accused tried to escape, but was also nabbed by the police.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
