Army doctor saves life of 70-year-old woman

JAMMU, June 24: In yet another incident of humane touch by the Indian Army, it saved the life of a 70-year-old Zeena Begum, a resident of Village Rattal, a remote locality in Rajouri district.
In the night of June 18, the woman suffered from a major medical emergency and fell unconsciousness due to hypertension. The nearest medical facility available was 8 km away and no transport facility was available from Rattal in the night.
Her son Makhan seeing no other option turned to Army for seeking help. The Army Medical Officer of Army Unit at Topa immediately rushed to the spot and provided life saving aid to the lady and shifted her to Government Primary Health centre at Chittyar.
The Army doctor himself accompanied the patient to ensure that if any emergency persists, same can be dealt with immediate assistance. The Army doctor was able to save the precious life of 70 years old lady whose condition is now normal and relieved after treatment at health centre.
