JAMMU, June 25: Former MLC and Senior Congress leader, Ravinder Sharma has demanded enquiry into allegations of panchayats’ representatives regarding irregularities in framing of BPL lists.
In a statement issued here, Ravinder Sharma said that Sarpanchs/Panchs of Nowshera have been holding protest demonstration alleging that the genuine beneficiaries have been ignored while framing BPL lists.
“They have complained that they were not consulted in the process of framing of BPL lists, which have been framed with favoritism”, Ravinder said, adding that by-passing of panchayats in this important process is totally arbitrary. He demanded enquiry into the matter and rectification of lists to include all genuine and deserving families in the lists.
