MENDHAR, June 25: A special team from the Sub Divisional Headquarters today launched special drive and imposed a fine of Rs 18,600 on the traders for the default including over charging and selling sub-standard items to the general public.
The team led by SDPO Shahid Nahim and Tehsildar, Salam Din assisted by TSO, Assistant Food Safety officer Poonch and SHO Mendhar during special drive on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, booked over two dozen traders and realized a fine of Rs 18,600 from them on the spot. They also destroyed about one quintal sub-standard vegetables and fruits and seized some domestic LPG cylinders from the `Dhabas’ and tea stalls.
