JAMMU, June 25: A 17-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Gadigarh area of city outskirts.
According to police spokesman, the girl identified as Preeti Devi daughter of Tarsem Lal, a resident of Azad Nagar in Gadigarh area, allegedly ended her life by hanging self with the hook of a ceiling fan at her residence.
On getting information from family members, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for post mortem.
A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and investigations started.
